Product Description
INTRODUCTION Clamped electromagnetic flowmeters measure flow based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. These flowmeters feature minimal pressure loss and a wide measurable flow range, with the ratio of maximum to minimum flow rate generally reaching 20:1 or higher. They are suitable for a broad range of industrial pipe diameters, provide an output signal linearly proportional to the measured flow, and ensure high measurement accuracy. Liquids with an electrical conductivity of ≥5 μS/cm are measurable by this device. The clamp-type mounting design of electromagnetic flowmeters allows for easy installation and cleaning, making it a preferred choice for food production, pharmaceutical agent metering, and purified water monitoring applications. WORKING PRINCIPLE Based on Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction, a pair of detection electrodes is mounted on the tube wall perpendicular to both the axis of the measuring tube and the magnetic lines of force. When the conductive liquid flows along the axis of the measuring tube, it cuts the magnetic lines of force to generate an induced electromotive force (EMF), which is detected by the two electrodes. The magnitude of this induced EMF is directly proportional to the flow rate, and is expressed by the formula: E=KBVD Where:E – Induced electromotive force;K – Coefficient related to magnetic field distribution and axial length;B – Magnetic induction intensity;V – Average flow velocity of the conductive liquid;D – Electrode spacing (inner diameter of the measuring tube). The sensor transmits the induced electromotive force E as a flow signal to the converter. After a series of processes including amplification, conversion, filtering and digital processing, the converter displays the instantaneous flow rate and cumulative flow rate on a backlit dot-matrix liquid crystal display (LCD). The converter is equipped with a 4~20mA current output, pulse output and frequency output, as well as communication interfaces such as RS-485, and supports HART and MODBUS protocols.
